Welcome to our legal guardianship office ECC

What legal guardianship means to us

  • For a guardianship to go smoothly there needs to be a close relationship between the guardian and the ward, as well as empathy and thought-through advice (ECC).
  • Involving the ward’s friends and family into the trustful cooperation has proven to be most efficient when conducting a legal guardianship.
  • We consider guardianship as a temporary support, which one resorts to when incapable of overcoming hardships on one’s own.
  • We believe legal guardianship should help someone regain as much of their independence and legal capacities as possible.
  • Acceptance and tolerance are two values we abide by, whether it be in our approach or in our actions.

Our offer

  • We also handle complex legal cases.
  • Before setting up the guardianship, we prefer to establish contact with the ward and learn to know them.
  • We also prefer close and regular exchange with the providers of accompanying integration measures and other forms of assistance.
  • Our team can be reached on weekdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Special request

  • We go through administrative procedures hand in hand with the ward. All appointments are planned ahead, to meet as much of their expectations as possible.

  • We usually visit the ward every 4 or 6 weeks (also during the weekend) but a last minute visit can be arranged if needed.

What is in it for the wards?

  • We are able to create a relation built on mutual trust, thanks to visits conducted on a regular basis.
  • We like to keep our work transparent and to include the wards as much as possible when it comes to decision-making.
  • As jurists and mediators, we are also fluent in multiple languages and are familiar with intercultural environments.
  • As a committed team, we not only benefit from an experience regarding immigration and social laws, but also used to deal with drug issues.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Ralf Fodor

I am a jurist and a mediator, but also a published author. Since 2001, I have written books such as “Rechtlos – Menschen ohne Papiere (Rights for the undocumented)”, and have also given lectures on the different activities an intercultural environment has to offer. I have been working as a self-employed legal guardian since 2014, with the help of an assistant and a couple trainees.

We are experienced jurists and mediators; therefore we get to deal especially with migrants or people suffering from a drug addiction or from psychiatric disorders.

The experienced and trustful collaboration with social agencies is what makes us stand out in the social sector.

Due to our knowledge of the French, English, Spanish and Italian languages, our services reach far beyond Germany’s borders: we are able to successfully assist wards from other European countries such as North - Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Asia.
